39th Annual Lyons Holiday Bazaar

39th  Annual Lyons Holiday Bazaar

Over 1,200 shoppers found plenty of Holiday GIfts at the Bazaar this year. There was food, music, a "Cash Mob," and of course a visit from Santa! Many of the merchants donated goods for the raffle and organizers donated this year's proceeds to the Lyons Community Foundation.

The Community That Dances Together

Folks of all ages, from crawlers to sitters (including some entertaining young people), came together earlier  on January 19 at “Motown and More” to let it all hang out in Smokin’ Dave’s Log Cabin. Besides the usual couples and solo dancers, people joined in for some lively group dances, threading about from one to another in medleys. It was a time to be with friends and neighbors; old, new, and people who have been here twenty years but never met. You can watch your friends kick up their heels to  “Shout” by the Isley Brothers on YouTube.
