SVVSD Tech Fair

The public is invited to join St. Vrain Valley School District students and teachers at this year’s Tech Fair to be held on Saturday, April 20, at Skyline High School, 600 E. Mountain View Avenue in Longmont.  Projects from all subject areas will be on display from 10:30 a.m. to noon.  A visit to the Fair will provide a great opportunity to see what students are learning in school, and how they are applying technology to their day-to-day activities and special projects.

The Community That Dances Together

Folks of all ages, from crawlers to sitters (including some entertaining young people), came together earlier  on January 19 at “Motown and More” to let it all hang out in Smokin’ Dave’s Log Cabin. Besides the usual couples and solo dancers, people joined in for some lively group dances, threading about from one to another in medleys. It was a time to be with friends and neighbors; old, new, and people who have been here twenty years but never met. You can watch your friends kick up their heels to  “Shout” by the Isley Brothers on YouTube.
