The American Council of Engineering Companies of Colorado (ACEC/CO) named Nancy Clanton, of Clanton and Associates, Inc., the 2013 Outstanding Woman in Engineering at a special ceremony held last month at the Lakewood Country Club. The prestigious award recognizes an outstanding woman in a leadership position who is recognized for professional achievements in the engineering profession, and who is a visible role model for young engineers. Clanton was among six professionals who were nominated for the award this year by their peers.
The Lyons Community Foundation exists to improve the quality of life, build a culture of giving, and encourage positive change for the Greater Lyons Area.
With the start of 2013, your Lyons Community Foundation begins its sixth year of giving supported by community events, fundraising and the hard work of many in our community. As we begin planning our work in 2013, we should take time to review our achievements in 2012.

Christy Sports, today, announced plans for a complete remodel of their store in Boulder, CO. Construction will begin March 11, 2013.
The remodeled store will provide almost 16,000 square feet of retail space on two stories. After living in western Pennsylvania for most of their lives, Jay and Elaine Hodge decided it was time for a change; time to live closer to a son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, as well as two sisters who had all relocated to the Front Range of Colorado. Hodge decided to take the work experience he had accumulated in the foundry business and as a human resource officer, and apply it to the wine, spa, special events, and guest accommodations business. As a result, we have a new owner at the Rock n River Resort just outside of Lyons.
