Flood season begins in Boulder

April 10 to April 16, 2011, is Colorado Severe Weather Awareness Week, and the City of Boulder would like to remind community members that along with severe weather comes flash flood season.  Boulder’s flood season officially begins in April and runs through the end of September, but floods can happen at any time.

Registration begins for Safety First Class for Adults

The Boulder Police Department will be offering Safety First for Adults from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays from April 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and May 5th at the Public Safety Building, 1805 33rd Street in Boulder.

Commuters on U.S. 36 and the Diagonal Highway are invited to join an incentive program that pays cash for each day they bicycle, carpool, ride transit, vanpool, telework or walk to work instead of driving solo.  Participants can earn $2/day, as much as $75 in a 60-day pledge period.  For U.S. 36 and Diagonal Highway commuters who are currently using a clean commute, 36 Commuting Solutions presents a new program to reward participants when they refer others to the 36 Commuter CASH program - $50 for two successful referrals.
