This year, the American Constitution Party, Democratic Party, and Republican Party will have Primary Elections on Tuesday, June 24. In order to participate in a party primary election, a voter must be registered with that party. Friday, May 23 is the deadline for those voters who are currently registered with a political party to switch to another political party and still participate in this year’s Primary.

The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public meeting on Thursday, June 12, to discuss the status of the current oil and gas drilling moratorium in Boulder County, including whether to extend it or take other action. The current moratorium is set to expire Jan. 1, 2015.

After more than six months of work, Boulder County and the City of Boulder are excited to release the results of the Community-wide Eco Pass Feasibility Study (Lyons is one of the communities that enjoys such a pass). For decades the city and county have used Eco Pass programs to reduce vehicle trips and increase personal mobility in the community. Recently, several community-based Eco Pass programs have been successful at increasing the number of residents that have an Eco Pass.
