Open auditions for kids 12 and under to have the opportunity for a once in a lifetime experience to be a Colorado Rockies Junior Broadcaster this summer, begins on June 17 at the Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers Park Meadows location.
Auditions will take place for accompanied children throughout the summer at each Denver area Mellow Mushroom and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Each winner will receive 4 VIP club level tickets and a parking pass, get recognized at an on field pregame festivity with an appearance on the jumbotron, be the announcer for the Rockies lineup during the second inning, and go home with a Colorado Rockies shirt, hat and a lifelong memory.

Reminiscent of mining history, a dynamite blast announces the traditional opening night of the six-week Central City Opera season. Church bells ring. Gowned debutants glide down staircases located between the Teller and Opera houses. Eureka Street closes between 4:45 and 6 p.m. A string quartet provides the music for the father/daughter street dance to “Yellow Rose Waltz.”

Another week gone by with a nice rain or two. The river seems to be holding in its banks. There are sandbags along the banks at Third and Fourth Avenue, but the water hasn’t gotten that far up yet. There is a little over 1000 cfs of runoff in the river now, and during the flood there was 30,000! Wow. We are truly lucky to be alive!
