The Lyons High School was featured on Channel 9 News Monday morning, stating that even though small, Lyons was in the top 3% of the state. The story stated, the Lyons Lions have fewer than 300 students at the high school level, yet it scored an A+ rating from the ColoradoSchoolGrades. The sign on the door read “Closed” and the times of operation stated, “Monday, 4:00.” Still, a car, with the driver’s door open, sat alongside the road in front of The Merc (short for Mercantile), located in the small town of Jamestown. A neighbor offered to go inside to get Rainbow.
