It looks like we had our March weather in February, with the snow and wind. Now that we need it in March, it is dry and warm, good for spring flowers. We hope you all celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. So, your old wooden dining room chair finally came apart after being loose and wiggly when anyone sat on it (for the last two years!). Hopefully no one hit the floor when it broke. You go to the big box home center to buy some glue to repair the chair and are confronted by six shelves full of so many different types of adhesives that your head starts to spin. All you want to do is put your chair back together, but what product would be the best for that task?

A great week of good weather gone by, nice and warm, no snow or wind. Enjoy it while you can. They say more snow is on the way. I remember when we had three feet of wet snow in early May, so we have a while to wait.

Finding Fossils Close to Home
I moved to Colorado from Texas right out of college when I was hired to teach in Jefferson County. I stood awestruck at the sight of Red Rocks Amphitheater from the playground of Bear Creek Elementary. Amazed, I listened to my second graders talk about collecting arrowheads at nearby Soda Lakes. Our favorite unit included dinosaurs and a field trip to the Natural History Museum in Denver. That was a long time ago.
