National Parks are special land areas set aside by the government for all people to enjoy, appreciate and preserve. Ronald D. “Ron” Morton, age 85, of Lyons, passed away in Ft. Collins on February 21. He was born March 13, 1927 in Loveland, to Clarence and Martha (Bell) Morton. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he married Georgia Michel in 1948, and she preceded him in death in 1982. Ron married Joanne Ritter in 1984, and she preceded him in death in 2011.
