Another week gone by. Cold, icy, and now nice. That is Colorado. We can be lucky we don’t live back east. Time for LHS track and baseball so we need some good weather.

Although the ship anchored near Loreto around 7:30 a.m., Bob and I put off going ashore until after an early lunch. Other passengers chose the beach, the aquarium, a clambake, or the daylong trip to San Javier Mission. The Lyons Garden Club is now moving forward with plans to begin cleaning-up and restoring of some landscape areas in town that were damaged during the flood. While some planting areas were severely damaged, there are others, which can be returned to their former beauty with just a little T.L.C., and the help of volunteers.

I recently sat down with my favorite musical couple, Taylor and Bonnie Sims. There was so much going on in their collective careers that I wanted to get it straight from their lips.
Let’s start with how they arrived on the local music scene. In 2003 Taylor relocated from Texas to Gunnison Colorado to work on a ranch there. He and Alex Johnstone and Chris Elliott started playing music together and a bond began. They moved back to Texas and with Jessica Smith recorded their first CD there as Spring Creek bluegrass band.
