What a weekend! The Festival was full with crowds pouring over onto the streets, alleys, etc. wherever they could squeeze in, instead of going to the Festival Parking. However, the music was great, and the town took in a fair amount of sales tax and camping/parking fees so maybe it is a trade off. Folk Dancing for Children

Free participatory dance program for children, teens, and their parents. Outside on the plaza beside the Dushanbe Teahouse, 6:15 - 7 pm. Tuesdays, June 9, 23, July 7, 21, and August 4. Youngsters learn dances and experience the culture of many countries around the world.

“Art Inspired By The Land” Art Show

The City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Department encourages the public to view artwork inspired by the city’s diverse open space at the department’s “Art Inspired by the Land” exhibition. This community art show features artwork from more than eighty artists and community members, and is now on display at the Boulder Public Library’s Canyon Gallery (1001 Arapahoe Avenue).

OSMP Seeks Volunteers

The City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Department is recruiting volunteers to participate in eleven projects in the coming months. OSMP needs volunteers to help build trails, remove forest undergrowth, construct agricultural fencing on Shanahan Ridge, collect native seeds and harvest vegetables with OSMP’s agricultural tenants. Volunteer opportunities to help improve and maintain the city’s open space include:
• Trail projects on Saturdays, July 25, August 29, and September 26.
