Frequent travelers often collect keepsakes from their destinations: Christmas ornaments, postcards, and other items. Once friends learn of the traveler’s passion, they tend to add to the collection. Grace and Carl Hittle in Fort Collins have traveled all over the world and collected nativity sets.

Two week until Christmas. The goal is to shop at home, which raises the town’s sales tax, which helps “up” our town, which is good for all!
It was a cold weekend (10 degrees here and 2 degrees out South at Bill Martin’s)! B-r-r-r.

Patricia Ann Malone, 73, of Lyons died November 29, 2012 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
She was born September 28, 1939 in Akron, Ohio to Arthur C. and Ruth (Buttriss) Poe.
Her father’s work in education took the family to such varied locations as La Push, Washington, American Samoa, and Pensacola, Florida. Her lifelong love of horses began at Holland
For several years, our son begged us to visit Crested Butte where he owns a house he rents when he or his business partner don’t want to use it themselves. A little out of the way and about 255 miles from Lyons, the trip is well worth the effort.
