So, your old wooden dining room chair finally came apart after being loose and wiggly when anyone sat on it (for the last two years!). Hopefully no one hit the floor when it broke. You go to the big box home center to buy some glue to repair the chair and are confronted by six shelves full of so many different types of adhesives that your head starts to spin. All you want to do is put your chair back together, but what product would be the best for that task?

Another week gone by, and not too bad. Windy, but it actually warmed up a little. Spring is right around the corner. This Sunday morning (or late Saturday night), turn your clocks ahead one hour. It will be nice to have longer days.

Another week gone by, cold and windy, but I see some crocuses (or are they croqui?) blooming, so spring is near.
SUCH A WIND!
93 miles per hour here in Lyons. Worse than Boulder, which is unusual.
Thanks to the Lyons firemen, who contained that fire in Stone Canyon so fast. They really did wonders, as hard as the wind was blowing. That was truly a scary situation. There doesn’t seem to be any answer as to the wildfires. We want rain and snow, which makes the grass grow, which then dries up in the hot summer months, creating a lot of dry grass to burn! Be sure to watch that you don’t start a fire by putting hot ashes out, or sparks from a vehicle or mower, etc. Take care!

Many years ago my friend’s nine-year -old daughter suggested the family buy a motor home so they could drive to Hawaii. So, I did a comparison of my own for our Minnesota trip to celebrate a 100th birthday over July 4th.

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife 2012 Big Game Hunting brochure is now available and limited license applications are being accepted for this fall's big-game hunts. License applications for deer, elk, pronghorn, moose, sheep, goat and bear are due Tuesday, April 3. For 2012, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has updated the interactive online version of the big game brochure that features videos with online application tips and hunting tips to use in the field. New tables in the brochure also help hunters easily identify units where licenses are valid and whether a hunter can hold more than one license at a time.
