Big plans are being made for this Friday’s first game, September 6, with the annual BBQ from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by the football game versus Yuma at 7 p.m. The entire community is invited to take part in this annual event. Free dinner when you buy a game ticket.

Sundays at Oskar Blues in Lyons have become my favorite shows, I love the more mellow music and enjoy watching the youngsters and oldsters dancing and enjoy the tunes together. These are all early 6 to 9 p.m., free, and all ages’ shows, and are usually very well attended. I have often been asked why we don’t charge for these shows; the answer is Dale and I want to give some free music back to the community as a thank you for all their support in helping us bring live music to Lyons. In September we have a
