A couple months ago entrepreneur Ray Milam realized that if homeowners experience a loss resulting from fire, theft or natural disaster they would have great difficulty recalling the numerous items in their home.

Donald A. Johnson, age 56, passed away at his home in Lyons, on May 18, of heart failure. He was born March 1, 1957 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Merle and Donna Johnson. Don grew up in Hot Springs, and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1975; a year later he enlisted in the Air Force. After his service, he worked for a while in the electronics field for Hughes

Editor’s Note: Lyons resident Kelly Yelverton recently graduated from college in Washington state. To celebrate her accomplishment, she and a friend have decided to paddle their sea kayaks on a 1200-mile journey through the Inside Passage to Alaska. She will be sending written updates and photos of her adventure throughout the summer.
