Dr. Sidney “Sid” Wolf, age 78, passed from this earth on January 10, 2013 in Longmont, with his wife Amber by his side.
Dr. Wolf was born December 30, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland to Morris and Anna Wolf. He received his Ph.D. from Catholic University in 1970, his Master’s Degree from American University in 1964, both in Washington, DC; and his Bachelor of Science from The University of Baltimore, Maryland, in 1960. Sid was recognized internationally as an author, researcher, spiritual counselor, educator, body worker, and healer. He began his career taking part in landmark studies of the therapeutic benefits of LSD used in conjunction with psychotherapy: treating alcoholics, psychiatric patients and the terminally ill. This Colorado weather is very unpredictable. Last Tuesday night it was close to zero, and the next day fifty degrees. Wonderful, except we need moisture; lots of snow and rain. It is supposed to snow again next week. It will be worth it to have the water.

Bobby G. Soenksen, 79, of Lyons, CO passed away December 22, 2012 at Berthoud Living Center. He was born August 25, 1933 in Quimby, Iowa to John and Ella (Stricker) Soenksen.
Over New Years we sailed down the Mississippi from Memphis to New Orleans on the American Queen. Boarding the paddlewheel steamboat was like stepping onto a larger version of the Cotton Blossom of “Show Boat” movie fame. There are many families with broken hearts; they were close to home, perhaps on a country road, or with a “safe” driver in a car too full for a car seat, and then the worst occurred. David D. Thomas, age 61, of Lyons, Colorado passed away January 8, 2013 at Boulder Community Hospital. He was born on March 16, 1951 in Plain Dealing, Louisiana to Harvey Dale and Mary Alice (Thompson) Thomas.
