It is time for Rock Mountain Folks Festival, and the town is filling up. Song School, concerts, most days and nights are sold out. It is enjoyable. If you don’t go, put up your signs, sit outside, and enjoy the music.

What a weekend! The Festival was full with crowds pouring over onto the streets, alleys, etc. wherever they could squeeze in, instead of going to the Festival Parking. However, the music was great, and the town took in a fair amount of sales tax and camping/parking fees so maybe it is a trade off. A lot of Lyons residents get discounts, volunteer, work, and get free tickets to enjoy the weekend. Also, many folks enjoyed music from

Evert Pierson Kids’ Fishing Pond Reopens

The City of Boulder’s Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce they have reopened the Evert Pierson Kids’ Fishing Pond for public use (only for children ages 12 and under) as of last Saturday, July 25. The Boulder Fish and Game Club will restocked the pond prior to reopening.
