By this time of year, packing school lunches has moved beyond a morning chore to a nearly painful morning ritual that can easily lead to the intolerable battle of wills with elementary school kids (or adults for that matter) in some households! Here are some ideas to ease the struggle or just inspire the daily habit.

As the granddaughter of a survivor, as a healthcare provider for women, and as the mother of a daughter, I like so many of us am very concerned about breast cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that about one in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime and that in 2013 about 39,620 mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends will die from breast cancer.
Various risk factors can increase the chances
Where did that warm weather go? It was seventy degrees, and in a few hours we are getting snow and cold again. However, we need the moisture, so let it snow! It was great that it was nice for spring vacation and the St. Vain track meet, so now back to school just six more weeks of school.
