Home Inventory Service Provides Homeowner Protection

A couple months ago entrepreneur Ray Milam realized that if homeowners experience a loss resulting from fire, theft or natural disaster they would have great difficulty recalling the numerous items in their home.

Realizing the importance of documenting homeowner possessions, Mr. Milam formed a new company, Secure Home Inventory Service which provides comprehensive home inventory services to the Northern Colorado area.

About Town - August 22, 2013

Another week gone by, and an important one. School started last Thursday, with a “Meet and Greet” your teacher at the Elementary, and “Back to School Nights” etc.  A thrilling time for the little ones, finally school; for the 6th graders, finally in Middle School, and of course for the 9th graders, finally in High School. Most of all for the seniors, I finally made it. Good luck to all.
We are ever proud of the fact that Lyons stays in the top for studies.  We may be small but we are mighty. We note in the Department of Education’s Transitional Colorado Assessment

This is the fifteenth year of the free Thursday Night Summer Concert Series in Sandstone Park, sponsored by the Lyons Parks & Recreation Department. The event has grown yearly since its inception, and has really taken off this year with the addition of food trucks, the Lyons Farmette’s farmers market, local booths offering massages, and the Lyons Golden Gang selling wine, beer, and soft drinks. But I do want to thank Danny Shafer and his band, Jeff Scroggins & Colorado, The Blue Canyon Boys, and Ash & Andria Ganley with Terry Kishiyama for their

It’s A Family Affair

Sly & The Family Stone weren’t singing the praises of the Meckle family in 1971 when they recorded their number one hit, but they could have been. Earlier this year in March, Dr. Joseph Meckle, D.C., who has had a chiropractic practice here in Lyons for nearly thirty years, had the honor of watching his two daughters, Carly and Jenny, graduate from the Palmer Chiropractic College in Florida.

The young women, both graduates of Lyons High School (Carly in 2002, and Jenny in 2005) received their Bachelor of Science Degrees from Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 2009.
