Editor’s Note: Lyons resident Kelly Yelverton recently graduated from college in Washington state. To celebrate her accomplishment, she and a friend have decided to paddle their sea kayaks on a 1200-mile journey through the Inside Passage to Alaska. Another week gone by. A little cooler now, but a hundred degrees in midweek. School has started and seems to be going well. Big plans are being made for this Friday’s first game, September 6, with the annual BBQ from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by the football game versus Yuma at 7 p.m. The entire community is invited to take part in this annual event.
