Volunteer Opportunities

Plant and Invasive Species Monitors Needed

Visit some of Boulder County’s most scenic properties such as Heil Valley Ranch, Bald Mountain, Mud Lake, and other foothills properties while volunteering as a Natural Resource Monitor.

You will assist Parks and Open Space weed specialist or plant ecologist with monitoring ecological restoration projects sites.  Volunteers will identify and record plant species from June to September, while hiking along scenic trail corridors or roughing it off trail. The data is used to reduce invasive species prevalence along trails and evaluate the success of seeding projects.

Volunteering is completely flexible around your schedule, we just ask that you commit to volunteering 12 to 16 hours per month.
