Barry Jon Kelly, better known to his Lyons community as “Bearcat,” passed away on Thursday, October 17, at Longmont United Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. He was 66 years young and will be missed by all.Read more: Barry Jon Kelly, "Bearcat"

Grace Ellen Snyder was born to a Pioneer farm family on March 30, 1928, near Berthoud, CO. Grace was the fifth child of nine to bless this family. Her young life was spent on the family farm, learning the lessons of this hard life, in preparation for the eventual large family that she raised. Grace met and married the love of her life, George Harvic French, and they married in Boulder, on April 27, 1944. George and Grace lived on a farm North of Hygiene until 1949, when they relocated to West of Lyons. Here, she raised five of their six children, hauling water, and with no electricity for several years. Joan Elizabeth House passed away August 29, in Greeley surrounded by her family. Joan was born July 9, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to John J. Kelly and Rosa Freund Kelly. Joan graduated from Lyons High School and Barnes Business College. She married Bobby E. House on June 20, 1948 in Boulder, Colorado, and just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They have lived in Loveland since 1958.
Joan enjoyed bowling, sewing, playing bridge, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Bobby E. House of Loveland, daughters Susan Rounds and Sandra (John) Harding of Loveland, son Shawn House of Loveland, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Mary Annetta House.
There will be a rosary and viewing held from 4 to 7 p.m., on Thursday September 5, at the Viegut funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, September 6, at St. Johns the Evangelist in Loveland. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, in care of Joan House to Viegut funeral home.

Anne M. Sherwood, 88, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.
Anne was born August 4, 1924 in Boulder, Colorado, the third of four children born to Michael L. Stengel and Mary J. (Schott) Stengel. All of her siblings are deceased. She married Thomas R. Sherwood Sr. on September 20, 1950 in Cheyenne Wyoming. Tom preceded her in death on January 27, 2001. Tom and Anne are survived by three children, Deborah A. Simpson of Douglas, Wyoming, Thomas R. Sherwood Jr. (Connie) of Greeley, Colorado, and Kimberly C. Echols of Louisville, Colorado.
