The Soul Rebels brass band formed when Lumar LeBlanc and Derrick Moss, originally members of New Orleans’ iconic Dejean’s Young Olympia brass band, decided they wanted to play the new exciting music they were hearing on the radio while respecting the tradition they loved. Both New Orleans natives, the pair was steeped in the fundamentals of New Orleans jazz, but inevitably

Planet Bluegrass announced on Monday that three-day passes for this year’s forty-first annual RockyGrass Festival (July 26 through 28) sold-out in early January, exactly one month earlier than ever before. But take heart fellow Lyons residents, as with past years Planet Bluegrass has graciously reserved a large block of both three-day passes and single-day tickets to sell to Lyons locals. These tickets will be sold exclusively at The Stone Cup beginning next week on Wednesday, February 20.
As with past years, approximately half of these tickets will be sold at a “locals” discount rate.
