Sibley, who packed the Wildflower two years ago (in addition to playing stunning sets at both RockyGrass and Folks Fest in the past few years), will be sharing the bill with Sierra Hull. You would be hard-pressed to think of a more beautiful, soulful and sweet evening of bluegrass than this incredible pairing.
On Saturday, September 22, Planet Bluegrass welcomes back members of Yonder Mountain String Band - guitarist Adam Aijala & bassist Ben Kaufmann - for the 6th Annual Mabon Celebration in the Wildflower Pavilion. The Planet Bluegrass Ranch gates open at 2 p.m. on this final day of summer (the Autumnal Equinox) for Mabon revelry, food, drink, and two intimate sets from these brilliant singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists.
The season continues into the fall with four more shows: Grant Farm w/ Interstate Stash Express on Friday, October 19; Jesse Winchester (special evening with this legendary songwriter) on Saturday, October 20; Abigail Washburn w/ Cahalen Morrison & Eli West on Friday, October 26; and Pert Near Sandstone w/ special guests on Friday, November 2.
Nestled under the cliffs of the North St. Vrain River, the 300-seat indoor Wildflower Pavilion is a cozy and intimate dedicated music room, described as “one of the coolest venues in Boulder County” by the Daily Camera. Plan to arrive early for New Belgium beer, wine, and hot drinks at the Wildflower Pavilion bar, as well as the bonfire (weather and Boulder County Sheriff’s Office permitting) along the St. Vrain River.
