The Mental Health Center Serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties to Honor The Boulder County Commissioners with Award Boulder County has a deep and longtime commitment to outstanding human service delivery with a national reputation for developing innovative programs that promote health, well-being and self-sufficiency through emphasis on prevention programs. One such delivery service organization is The Mental Health Center Serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties, one of Boulder’s largest and longstanding non-profit organizations. The Boulder County Commissioners have been champions for this organization and are thus being recognized.
Year after year, when facing serious budget constraints, the Commissioners recognized the need for access to mental health services for the citizens of Boulder County. They understood that cutting mental health services would be a detriment to our community and would result in increased suffering and the need for more serious services such as jail, police and hospitalization of those struggling with a mental health issues. Due to their diligence and support mental health services have been protected from serious budget cuts. Support by The Commissioners to The Mental Health Center and of the 100’s of employees that are committed to outstanding human service to our community is greatly appreciated and deemed a must for us to continue to do the work that we do.
The Fifth Annual Dandelion Ball promises a fabulous evening with cocktails, dinner, silent and live auctions, and dancing to Westword Magazines Best Blues Band (2008-2010), The Informants. John Tayer with Roche Colorado will join us as Master of Ceremonies. The Dandelion Ball is sponsored by Wells Fargo, John F.
