Two solar incentive programs are offering exciting limited-time offers to encourage a transition toward renewable sources of energy in our community.
The City of Boulder Solar Grant Program provides financial assistance toward the installation of photovoltaic (PV) or solar thermal systems. Homes in the city’s affordable housing program, lower-income housing developed or owned by nonprofit organizations, and Boulder-based nonprofits are eligible to apply. More
than $70,000 is available for the fall 2013 solar grant cycle and applications must be received electronically or by mail by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31 (electronic submissions are preferred).
Since the Solar Grant Program began in 2007, more than $360,000 has been awarded to nonprofit organizations and homeowners. Grant funds have contributed to the installation of over 700 kilowatts of solar power systems, saving grant recipients more than $90,000 annually in energy costs*.
