Each month, the Colorado Department of Agriculture features a different commodity to highlight the variety and quality of products grown, raised or processed in the state. This month, Colorado cherries are featured in our Rocky Mountain Cherry Jalapeno Jelly recipe. 

Cherries are Colorado’s first fruit crop of the season, and they are perfect for baking and cooking. Not only are they low in fat and sodium free, they also contain other important nutrients such as beta carotene, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, iron, fiber and folate.
