This Saturday, February 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lyons Farmette, learn about a poly-culture garden that provides food for the soil, for wildlife, and you. This class will discuss microclimates, seasonal timing, companion planting, and edible natives.
Dave and Lina have owned and operated Urban Oasis, Inc since 1999; their company started on the premise that we can build better, more sustainable landscapes. That idea incorporates edibles, natives, adaptable plantings, and progressive property creations. They started their careers in Environmental Science and have applied that knowledge to the earth that they maintain and utilize for food and pleasure. David has lectured for colleges, taught classes, and has been published as a leader in the expanding field of Urban Ecology. Lina has been studying as a Native Plant Master for four years, in addition to building edible gardens for her clients and studying the numerous benefits of local herbs and plants.
Our obligation is to keep this stretch of road clean a few times a year. A “clean up walk” is scheduled at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 20. Please let me know, at the above email or phone number if you’d like to join us. We’d love the help!
