Several years ago, Neil and Connie Sullivan, owners of the St. Vrain Market, adopted twins from Ethiopia, Earlier this year Neil, in conjunction with PRIDE, a non-profit group the couple has become involved with, had an incredible opportunity to revisit the country, and travel to some of the most breath taking rural areas of Ethiopia. The people he traveled
with, the people he met, and the lessons he learned from one of the oldest cultures in the world, was for Sullivan a remarkable experience.
The mission of PRIDE is to improve the quality of life for the children of Ethiopia, through the construction of reliable water sources, sanitary latrines, and upgraded schools. Now after being home for several months, Sullivan is finally ready to share those experiences, photos, and travel stories with his friends in the Lyons community. The Sullivans would enjoy your company at the Lyons Farmette an open event/slide show hosted by PRIDE and the Farmette this Friday evening, May 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. This is a family friendly event, and as a bonus, the Lyons Dairy Bar will be serving ice cream onsite. Other refreshments will also be served.
