Well, we made it. The 36th annual Lyons Good Old Days were good, but hot! The hottest in 58 years! It was 104 in Longmont, and it is usually 10 degrees cooler in Lyons, but when it gets that hot, you can’t tell the difference. However, we all made it. It was nice when that sun went down. All had an enjoyable weekend with many folks coming back to their “old hometown.”

Another week gone by, and a hot one! The fires are still burning, around 189 homes lost above the Ft. Collins area. A lot of square dancing friends have had to deal with this crisis. They belong to the Ponderosa Promenaders Club and dance at the Livermore Community Hall. Many live in that fire area! Most have been evacuated. It is sad.

What a great weekend. Nice weather and lots of customers downtown. Everyone enjoyed the extra crowds along Main Street. Thanks to the LAHC, artists, vendors, Studio Tour, MinTze Wu’s concerts, those who went on the Art Walk, the reception, etc. A special day for Lyons, which really put us on the map! Another week gone by, and a hot and windy one. We are fortunate not to have a wildfire. WHAT A GLORIOUS WEEKEND for graduation, Memorial Day, and a day off.
LYONS HIGH GRADUATION went off without a hitch.
