About Town

About Town, Oct 25, 2012

Wasn’t this a wonderful week.  A time to go on a trip through Lyons, the “Double Gateway of the Rockies,” to Estes Park, up Highway 7, down the Big Thompson Highway 34, or up 36/66.  We are very fortunate to have such lovely weather and great scenery.  Of course, all good things come to an end, which is supposed to be in a day or two with some snow.  That’s Colorado!

WHAT LOVELY FALL WEATHER!
Take a drive up the North or South St. Vrain Canyons, or a walk to Meadow or Bohn Parks and enjoy.  It is breathtaking to realize that we actually live in this wonderous spot!  Aren’t we lucky!

GOLDEN GANG GARAGE SALE
This Friday and Saturday, the Golden Gang will close their garage sales for the season.  Stop by the Walt Self Senior Center for some good buys. The group thanks all for donating items and their help.

Fall is here, a time to enjoy the beauty of the leaves and the cooler nights.  Enough of that terrible heat; more than 60 days of over 90 degrees!  Wow.  Let’s hope we have a lot of snow, as you can hardly see a patch of snow on the peaks.

Say, wasn’t that a wonderful rain. Almost an inch! It will squelch the fire danger, turn that brown turf green, etc.  Rain, where have you been?  We can tell fall is here by the welcome cooler evenings.  People are going through town to see the leaves.  A welcome respite from over 60 days of 90-degree weather.
