Valentine’s Day should have brought out a lot of love for your companion: a great dinner, flowers, and of course a box of candy. It is always nice to tell her or him that you appreciate them putting up with you and your traits in spite of it all. Happy Valentine’s Day, you all!
CAN YOU IMAGINE?
Bob Gilson, Webmaster for The Lyons Recorder, announced at the Chamber social that my weekly news had 50,000 hits last year! Wow, that is a lot! I don’t really know who all these readers are, but they seem to like my news. Thanks, you all!
We had a cold eleven degrees this morning, but no snow. We have to look toward spring snows. A few years ago we had three feet on May 7, which broke the trees, shrubs, etc, causing a lot of damage. We can’t control the weather!
VALENTINE’S DAY
Be sure to send your best girl and guy a box of chocolates, which should get you in good graces for a few weeks. This is the time to appreciate our loved ones, those that are here, those that have passed, and to appreciate our world filled with romance and love. As stated before, Mr. LaVerne would always sneak a big valentine on my typewriter,
Another week gone by, and a little snow. Fortunately, it is still snowing in the high country, where our water comes from. However, the fields, foothills, and mountains all need water. We hope we don’t have another drought this year. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Many people are sick with the cold or the flu. There are two kinds going around; the regular flu where you are really sick to your stomach, or a bad cold
Another week gone by. Here it is February, the month of love and Valentines. Be sure to get your gal or pal a Valentine, and visit the Valentine Lovin’ Lyons art show at The Stone Cup. Stop by during February to see the wonderful Valentine sculptures by local artists, and buy a valentine made by the Montessori students and The Golden Gang. Very unique
This Colorado weather is very unpredictable. Last Tuesday night it was close to zero, and the next day fifty degrees. Wonderful, except we need moisture; lots of snow and rain. It is supposed to snow again next week. It will be worth it to have the water.
SCAMS: Email hacking is becoming more common and everyone should be tipped off when something sounds strange or out-of-line. They are usually asking for money, so take care! As for me, I lost my “sents,” “old-mail,” and “contacts” addresses, but I got my contacts back through “Help.” It also happened to two other folks I know the same week. Beware! DON’T SEND MONEY!
