Restoration of electrical service progresses rapidly. On Thursday, 9/19, we notice the number of wire overhead on Rt 66 is greatly increased.
The wires include shiny dark black ones which are new and sun bleached ones which managed to survive the flood.
Our photos from Monday, 9/16, showed the first new pole being placed. Now, there is a string of 8-ish poles stretching from behind Blue Mountain Stone to the big undermining of Rt 66 east of the Black Bear Inn. And there is a 2nd string of poles from the Lyons Dairy Bar, past the Black Bear Inn to the west side of the big undermining of Rt 66.
Excavation equipment was working on restoring the road. They've been doing this since flood waters receded off Rt 66.
